Dear Parents, Picture RETAKE day at the Elementary School is Thursday, November 30. Attached you will find a PDF of our school’s retake picture day flyer. **Online ordering for retakes ends at 7am DAY OF PICTURES! The PDF is hyperlinked directly to our schools online ordering event. You can access the online ordering portal by going to www.mymjthomas.com and entering our schools event password (located on the attached page. The Code is AZ874). You may also print this order form and attach a check or cash and bring it in on picture day! If you are unhappy with your photos you MUST bring back your picture package and we will be happy to reprint your order with your new photo.

Site Council Meeting notice To: Community Members, Parents, and Staff The Joseph City Elementary School will be hosting a site council meeting on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 3:40pm, in the Elementary School Learning Center. This is an open meeting and all are welcome to attend and offer any input on what our school can do to improve or what is going well. Parents, students, community members, and staff are invited. The official purpose of the site council is to discuss curricular and instructional issues that promote the school vision and the overall success of our students. Some of the topics on the agenda for discussion at this meeting include: · Parent classroom request · School Communication Pencil Sales · Enrichment Day activities Box Tops for Education Calendar This meeting is an opportunity for stakeholders to provide input on school decisions and to contribute in making improvements in our schools. If there are items that you would like to discuss at this meeting, but that are not listed above as a topic for discussion, please let me know so that I can place it on the agenda and make preparations for discussion. I am starting a project to document the Joseph City Wrestling "Tradition of Excellence" called "Dear Wrestling,". I am asking the Joseph City Community to send me letters or emails describing what Joseph City Wrestling has meant to you, your family, or the community. I want to collect these and share them with current wrestlers to help them understand the heritage of Joseph City Wrestling and the "Wildcat Way". During Friday's Enrichment Day students at Joseph City Elementary School participated in the Soccer Spectacular event. Three fields were set up by the Maintenance and Grounds departments. Coach Caleb Layden taught the students the ins and outs of soccer during PE classes throughout the month of September. The staff helped students know into which goal to kick the ball. We even had volunteer High School students help keep the peace on the fields. Some even were challenged to a match. A good time was had by all. We appreciate all that helped make this event a success. It was heard by several students, "We should do this again!"

An unverified threat has been posted using social media in Northern Arizona that warns of violence at a homecoming activity tonight. The threat was not specific to any school. It was made about Northern Arizona. JC Schools will have enhanced security at the homecoming activities and a police presence as an extra precaution.
