Site Council Meeting notice To: Community Members, Parents, and Staff The Joseph City Elementary School will be hosting a site council meeting on November 30, at 3:40pm, in the Elementary School Learning Center. This is an open meeting and you are welcome to attend and offer any input on what our school can do to improve. The official purpose of the site council is to discuss curricular and instructional issues that promote the school vision and the overall success of our students. Some of the topics on the agenda for discussion at this meeting include: • artificial turf • update playground • intramural soccer • school goals/objectives • tutoring and enrichment programs • the school calendar This meeting is an opportunity for stakeholders to provide input on school decisions and to contribute in making improvements in our schools. If there are items that you would like to discuss at this meeting, but that are not listed above as a topic for discussion, please let me know so that I can place it on the agenda and make preparations for discussion. [Original Posting: September 8] There has been an update to the COVID vaccination clinic this morning. The company brought the Moderna vaccine. They only brought 15 doses. They will give booster shots if you bring your card showing your previous COVID vaccination. Flu shots are also available. They will be here from 8am-10am. Also, due to the change from the Pfizer to the Moderna vaccine, they will not be offering it to students under the age of 18. We apologize for the confusion. [Original Posting: September 8]

[Original Posting: September 7] Reminder that there is a COVID vaccination clinic at the HS campus tomorrow, Wednesday, September 8th. This should not be confused with the flu shot clinic that the school also hosts. Students who are interested in receiving a vaccination need to have their parent present or their permission slip signed. Employees who are interested in receiving the COVID vaccine on Wednesday should line out arrangements with their supervisor. The vaccinations are also open to the community. [Original Posting: August 31] We have a busy week here at Joseph City Junior/Senior High School. Both Cross Country and Volleyball kick off their seasons today. Cross Country will be traveling to Hopi for a meet starting at 4 pm and Volleyball will be traveling to St. Johns for games starting at 4:30 pm. JH 8th grade softball will be traveling today to play in Show Low at 4 pm. JH 7th grade softball will have a home game today against Show Low at 4 pm. Other events this week. These are all home events except for the Cross Country Meet. Wed. at 4:00 - JH Football game against Mogollon Thurs. at 4:30 - VB against Rock Point Thurs. at 4:00 - JH SB against Blueridge Friday at 1:00 - VB against Grand Canyon Friday at 2:00 - FB against Salome Sat. at 8:00 am - Cross Country at Peaks Invitational (Flagstaff) Thank you for your support of the Wildcats in their Activities and Athletics.
