Today 2nd hour Chemistry achieved Lab Independence - they can do a lab with out being given instructions or equipment, just handed a packet and using the materials that are stored in their lab tables and being creative and thinking outside the box and making things work.

The First Round of the Junior High White Mountain League end-of-season tournament will start tomorrow.
The 8th-grade girls will be playing in Mogollon at 4:30 pm at Capps Middle School.
The 8th-grade boys will be playing against Blueridge at the Blueridge Elementary School at 4:30 pm. The address for the school is 3050 Porter Mountain Road Lakeside, AZ

The Joseph City Unified School District Science Fair is tonight, Thursday February 22 in the Old Gym. Public can view the projects from 6pm until 7pm. projects from 3rd grade to 8th grade have been submitted and judged. Thank you to Cholla Power Plant for providing the judges.

Bryce Cimafranca, 7th grade, won the Joseph City Unified School District Spelling Bee on Wednesday, spelling the word "platypus" correctly. 8th grader, Kase Fish, was the runner-up. Both students will be representing Joseph City at the Navajo County Spelling Bee in Snowflake, AZ on February 7 at 2pm. Kyson Pringle, a 5th grader, is the alternate. Congratulations to all of the 30 contestants that participated in the District Spelling Bee.
